Ben graduated from College of the Atlantic in 2023, where he concentrated his major on marine biology and geology. For his capstone project, he analyzed seasonal variations of fouling fauna across docks on Mount Desert Island via photosurvey. Previously, Ben has worked as a contractor for Maine DMR’s Nearshore Resources Program, studied zooplankton and fouling organisms at the Edward McC. Blair Marine Research Station on Mount Desert Rock, and analyzed historical records of intertidal observations as the Intertidal Synthesis Intern for the Schoodic Institute. In his free time, Ben enjoys beachcombing, boogie-boarding, and barbecuing. He is originally from Mercer Island, WA.
