Directions
DEI is located on Great Wass Island, adjacent to Beals Island. In Jonesport, take the bridge to Beals. Take a left at the end of the bridge and follow Bay View Drive. When you reach the end of the causeway which leads to Great Wass Island follow the sign to DEI, taking a right onto Black Duck Cove Road. Remain on the Black Duck Cove Road until it turns to dirt, then continue for another mile.
You will see our dorm on your right. Look for the sign that says “Evelyn Hall”. If this is your destination, follow the parking instructions you were provided with your reservations.
If DEI’s main research campus is your destination, continue down the hill until you see a sign for Downeast Institute on your right, at the entrance to Wildflower Lane. Follow Wildflower Lane to our parking area.
We look forward to seeing you.
