June 23, 24 & 25, 2026: 9am – 3pm
Join us for our third professional development workshop focused on the seafood industry. Details below.

The program is for Maine teachers, guidance counselors, informal educators, and service providers who work with students of any age. We provide contact hours, $100 stipend, lunch and snacks, as well as resources for use in your classrooms and programs. Free lodging available if needed.

Aquaculture in the Classroom
- “Oysters Start to Finish” – tour of DEI’s hatchery and oyster farm
- Using local marine life and aquaculture to meet learning results
- Mussel Aquaculture Presentation
Day 2:
