Annual Shellfish Field Day
Annual Shellfish Field Day
DEI appreciates all the local efforts large and small that contribute to our success. Every year, DEI opens our doors for Shellfish Field Day, an informative and fun event for the public to join us and celebrate our community of innovation.
2023 Shellfish Field Day will be held Saturday, Aug. 12 from 10am-2pm.
During the Shellfish Field Day DEI’s hatchery and marine laboratories will be open for tours. Attendees of the day will be able to see how technicians grow eight different species of commercial shellfish species and learn about DEI’s most recent research discoveries.
