Dominic Piccuito joined Downeast Institute in October 2025 as a Hatchery Technician. Originally from Plymouth, Massachusetts, Dominic has spent much of his life on the water, gaining extensive experience in commercial fishing for bluefin tuna, striped bass, and lobsters.

He graduated from the University of Maine at Machias in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation and a minor in Conservation Law. He brings a strong connection to Downeast Maine’s coastal environment and a passion for conservation to his work at DEI.
