Kyle Pepperman graduated from the University of Maine at Machias in May 2009 with a B.S. degree in Marine Biology and a minor in chemistry.  Kyle is originally from Williamsburg, Pennsylvania.

Kyle currently is responsible for the hatchery culture work on blue mussel, Mytilus edulis, broodstock conditioning, larval-rearing, and post-larval production associated with a project funded through the National Science Foundation and the National Sea Grant College Program (Aquaculture). In addition, Kyle is responsible for DEI’s stock algal cultures as well as its mass algal system, which feeds all the shellfish reared in the hatchery.
