Elsie has been a great addition to DEI’s team since 2021.  She came to us with academic and work experience in the field and in the lab, and is key to the success of our Center for Shellfish Production and Research.

Elsie as a Bachelor of Science from Unity College, where she participated in a variety of research projects on marine algae, primarily rockweed.  She is from Stetson, Maine and now lives in East Machias. In her free time she writes and works on various art projects, often inspired by the mysterious, natural beauty of Downeast Maine.
