The August 2022 edition of the The Working Waterfront published an article by Sarah Craighead Dedmon featuring the work Downeast Institute is doing to sustain clam harvests in the face of climate change related declines. Downeast Institute will be undertaking a clam fecundity study next year to learn more about peak clam spawning season and how clam size effects the number of eggs released by females.
